Care

Latex Care Instructions

1. Handle With Care
Latex is a delicate, natural material. Avoid sharp objects, long nails, and rough surfaces that can puncture or tear the surface. Always handle latex with clean, dry hands — no oils, lotions, or perfumes.

2. Cleaning
After wearing, wash your latex by hand in lukewarm water with a small amount of gentle, fragrance-free soap (like baby shampoo or a latex-safe cleaner). Rinse thoroughly and gently pat dry with a soft towel. Never wring, twist, or tumble dry.

3. Drying
Hang or lay flat to dry completely on a plastic or non-metal hanger, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Do not expose latex to UV light or fluorescent lighting for extended periods — it can discolor or weaken the material.

4. Polishing
Once dry, lightly dust the inside with talc or use a silicone-based latex dressing aid before storing. For shine, use a silicone-based latex polish — never use oil-based products (they will destroy latex).

5. Storage
Store your latex in a cool, dark place. Keep it away from metal (which can cause staining), printed materials, and other colors of latex (especially light and dark pieces together). Fold loosely or hang using plastic hangers in garment bags made for latex.

6. Dressing Tips
Use a latex-safe dressing aid to help slide the garment on without pulling. Avoid contact with oils, perfumes, deodorants, and alcohol-based products — all can cause permanent damage.

About the Brand

ARDITA FF (Ardita Fetish Fashion) is a European latex house known for translating rubber into clean, elegant fashion. Founded by designer Barbara Sandri and based in the Netherlands, the label approaches latex with a couture mindset—refined lines, flattering silhouettes, and a belief that latex can read as stylish and wearable, not just provocative.

At Syren, we love Ardita FF for that balance of polish and edge: pieces that photograph like editorial, wear like a second skin, and move effortlessly from private ritual to public styling.

Latex is a delicate, natural material. Avoid sharp objects, long nails, and rough surfaces that can puncture or tear the surface.

Always handle latex with clean, dry hands — no oils, lotions, or perfumes.

New to latex? Check out Syren's ultimate guide to caring for latex.

How do I put on latex?

Take your time putting on your latex piece to avoid damage.

Roll the latex onto your body, fixing wrinkles as you go.

Use a latex-safe dressing aid or talc to make it easier.

Avoid contact with oils, perfumes, deodorants, and alcohol-based products.

How do I make latex shiny?

Latex in its natural state has a matte finish.

That iconic glossy, mirror-like shine? That's added by you.

For shine, use a silicone-based latex polish.

Avoid oil-based products as they will damage latex.

How do I clean latex?

Gently wash your latex by hand in lukewarm water with a small amount of gentle, fragrance-free soap.

Rinse thoroughly and gently pat dry with a soft towel.

Never wring, twist, or tumble dry.

How do I dry latex?

Hang or lay flat to dry completely on a plastic or non-metal hanger, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

Do not expose latex to UV light or fluorescent lighting for extended periods — it can discolor, weaken or damage your latex.

How do I store latex?

Store your latex in a cool, dark place. Keep it away from metal (which can cause staining), printed materials, and other colors of latex.

Fold loosely or hang using plastic hangers in garment bags.

Regular wear keeps latex healthier than long storage, so show it off more!
